This painting appears in a period photograph of the bedroom of Mrs P. which was also decorated by Printz. It is believed to have been bought later by Mr and Mrs Thomas from the original owner.
Jacqueline Marval (1866-1932), the wife of the painter Flandrin, exhibited in the Salon des Artistes Indépendants, in the Salon d'Automne and in the Salon des Tuileries. Her paintings often adorned interiors decorated by Printz, hung in metal frames also by his design

Cette oeuvre a été acquise dans un second temps par Monsieur et Madame Thomas, après avoir fait partie d'un premier aménagement intérieur réalisé par Printz pour Madame P.

Jacqueline Marval (1866-1932), épouse du peintre Flandrin, expose au Salon des Indépendants, au Salon d'Automne et au Salon des Tuileries. Ses oeuvres figurent dans de nombreux décors d'Eugène Printz dans des cadres conçus par lui
