Shelton (loosely inserted typed 5-line letter from the author to Shelton, dated High Lea, 37 Odnall Road, Kidderminster, 11 October 1937, saying he is enclosing the book and continuing: "I think you will agree that the portrait has been very nicely reproduced. Perhaps you would kindly let me have your cheque for £2. 2. 0.").
