London: M. Cooper, November 1752. No. 15, 8vo., one engraved plate only (lacking the cricket plate), modern blue cloth, preserving original blue printed wrappers, UNCUT (wrappers restored at inner margins and with slight abrasions affecting imprint).

THE FIRST KNOWN PUBLICATION OF THE LAWS OF CRICKET is contained on pp. 581-582, under the heading "The Game at Cricket as settled by the Cricket-Club, in 1744, and play'd at the Artillery-Ground, London". The 1744 laws had earlier appeared only as the border to a handkerchief. Rait-Kerr p. 114; Padwick 150.
