No. 5 in March's "Library of Instruction and Amusement", published at sixpence. Cricket is referred to under the heading: "The Accident" in games for autumn. The young reader is told: "Trap ball and cricket are juvenile field sports, and not fit to be played near the houses ... where it generally ends in the ball going through a window ...." Illustrations of trap-ball and cricket appear on the page opposite, trap ball outside a house, but cricket in the safety of a spacious field. Not in Osborne or Padwick.
