the circular ormolu dial with white and blue enamel Roman numerals within incised outer Arabic minute ring, the centre cast in relief with grotesques, the glazed door applied with a pierced relief of a cherub above the enamel signiature plate A.TIN. LE NOIR A PARIS, the case applied with rocaille mounts, surmounted by a seated amorino, later glazed to the sides, the four pillar twin barrel movement with later anchor escapement striking a bell, the backplate with countwheel, signed below Augustin Le Noir with pendulum and key, with the original bracket,
the clock -- 23½in. (59.5cm.) high, the bracket -- 7in. (17.8cm.) high
