Tasting Note: Harvested speedily because of the swift onset of botrytis. First tasted at the Château in 1983: creamy, rich, fat, intense and fabulous. In Dec 2000 its sweetness and length though a touch of bottle age (caramel) was observed. Fully developed. Most recently: orange-gold; scent of old apricots and crème brulée; sweet, full, rich, some caramelisation. Dec 2001 ***** M.B.
