An unusual large famille verte charger, 17th century
Boldly enamelled at the centre primarily in green and iron-red with details in aubergine and yellow, with scrolling hisbiscus and peony around a central floral roundel, the rim with a wide band of underglaze blue diaper pattern -- 18¼ in. (46.4 cm.) diam.
Provenance
Purchased in Singapore in 1958.
