FIRST EDITION, RARE. In 1968 Feldmann had given up painting in favour of found and mass-produced photographs. The Biler series count amongst his earliest attempts to resist the conventional art-historical analysis and challenge the relationship between context and meaning. Complete with 10 booklets: Airplanes (1968), Knees (1969), Families (1970), 2 Girls (1970), Coat (1970), Shoes (1971), Mountains (1971), Clouds (1971), Football Players (1971), and Pyramid (1971).
