With report no. 0508132 dated 29 August 2005 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the padparadshca sapphire is of Sri Lankan origin, with no indications of heating.
Accompanied by a note stating that 'Unite the colour of a Sri Lankan lotus flower with the colours of a fiery sunset and the delicate orange-pink shade of the padparadscha is born. The unusual name "padparadscha" derives from the Sanskrit/Singhalese "padma raga" or lotus blossom, and is a reflection of the stone's exotic appearance.
