With nickel-finished lever movement, 26 jewels, gilt metal anti-magnetic cap, the brushed silvered dial with applied baton numerals and hands with black accents, red arrowhead sweep centre seconds hand, in tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with screw back and screw down crown, together with a stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and deployant clasp, case, dial and movement signed
38 mm. diam.; overall length approximately 180 mm.

The Milgauss model was designed for use in areas of high electro-magnetic fields found in laboratories and electro-engineering. One of the most distinctive of all Rolex 'Sports' models, the 1019 was the last 'tool' watch designed for a specific activity to be produced by the company. Despite being in production for over 20 years (1963-1985) it was never produced in significant numbers as demand was limited, thus making it very rare.
