A SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND FISH NECKLACE/BRACELETS, BY RENÉ BOIVIN
Designed as three oval and circular-cut sapphire fish with baguette and brilliant-cut diamond fin and tail and cabochon emerald eyes strung on a suede ribbon with gold buckle allowing variable length, with two long suede ribbons (blue and green) for a necklace and four short suede ribbons (three dark blue and one light blue) for bracelets to wear the fish in various combinations, designed in 1937, suede ribbon 48.9 cm and 22.5 cm long, with French assay mark for gold, in brown suede René Boivin case

Lot Essay

Accompanied by a photocopy of the original purchase receipt from 'René Boivin Joaillier-Fabricant' dated 19 December 1979. The fish, however, were probably made much earlier.
