According to the archives of Cartier Geneva, this brooch was made by Cartier London in 1938.

H.R.H The Princess Margaret wore this brooch at the christening of her nephew and godson, H.R.H. Prince Charles of Edinburgh, at Buckingham Palace on 15th December 1948.
