A BELLE EPOQUE DIAMOND AND GEM-SET TARGET BROOCH
Designed as a series of concentric reversible circles around the central circular-cut diamond, each set with calibré-cut rubies, sapphires or emeralds and single-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum and gold, brooch fitting detachable, circa 1908, 2.2 cm. diameter
Provenance
This brooch was a gift from H.R.H. The Prince of Wales (later H.M. King George V) to his wife, H.R.H. The Princess of Wales (later H.M. Queen Mary), on Easter day 1908.
