by Carl Martin Weishaupt & Sons (fl. c. 1837 - after 1870), marked, Hanau, marked with the town mark, circa 1850, with a 14-carat gold mark, the flange struck with inventory number 2032
Cartouche-shaped box with baluster sides, the slightly raised cover and base engraved with flowers, scrolls and foliage, the central reserves on lid and front wall applied with raised mirrored foliate scrolls and roses on a matted ground, the central reserves on base, rear side and left and right hand walls engraved with a flowerspray on a reeded engine-turned ground, slightly raised scrolling thumbpiece
