A QUEEN ANNE SILVER TEAPOT
MARK OF AUGUSTINE COURTAULD, LONDON, 1713
Pear shaped on a collet foot, the part-facetted spout with a hinged cover, with a later wood handle, the domed cover with a baluster finial, engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked underneath and on bezel of cover, the spout cover apparently unmarked, the base further engraved with a scratchweight '13=13'

The arms are those of Watkins impaling Pye for Charles Watkins and his wife Anne, daughter of Sir John Pye, 1st Bt., who he married in 1695/6. Their son, The Rev. Richard Watkins, matriculated at Wadham College, Oxford in 1720 and was rector of Clifton Campbell, Staffordshire, from 1738 until his death in 1776.
