Lot 387; recorked at the Château in 1987, new Château capsule and label (faded), pure amber colour. Level into neck. Lots 388 and 389; recorked at the Château in 1990, new Château capsules and labels, both of pure amber colour. Levels just below top-shoulder
Tasting Note: Harvested over an extended period, 19 September - 29 November. Four notes, very variable dependant as always on level, condition (and provenance). A beautiful bottle in 1972; a low-shoulder, maderised yet still sweet and surviving bottle in 1984. The most interesting, bottled in Bordeaux by H Wulffe, had a bouquet of nutmeg and old honey, concentrated but lacking in length (in Chicago 1988). M.B.
