Lot Essay

H.M.S. P48 was in service throughout the Great War, and also saw action in the Second World War. She sailed from Malta on 23rd December 1942; two days later, she was attacked and sunk with depth charges by the Italian torpedo boat Audace, north west of Zembra Island in the Gulf of Tunis.
