Lot Essay

The steel screw steamer Kurdistan was built for the Hindustan Steamship Co. by Short Bros. of Sunderland in 1895. Registered at 3,063 tons gross (1,929 net), she measured 325 feet in length with a 43 foot beam and was engined by Dickinsons, also of Sunderland.
