Lot Essay

The picture provides a good parallel to lot 271. Though painted fifteen years later, it is of comparable dimensions, and Leader would have worked in a similar way from sketches made on the spot. This view shows the river Conway where it joins the river Llugwy, looking north-east, just outside Bettws-y-coed.
