cast with a ferocious expression, the eyes wide open staring straight ahead between the prominent forehead and eyebrows and the high cheekbones, flanked by long-lobed ears, the nose with flared nostrils and the lips drawn back, with traces of red pigment -- 10 9/16in. (26.8 cm.) high
