A Buddhist subject kakemono, 18th century
Ink, colour and gilt on paper, depicting Buddha seated amongst numerous deities above a priest and official flanking a flaming pearl and beneath two guardian figures flanking a character on a lotus petal base -- 36in. x 18in. (91.5cm x 45.7cm); and a further kakemono painted with a sword on a lotus base, bearing dragon medallions -- 32½in. x 12in. (82.5cm x 30.5cm), wood boxes. (2)
