A SPANISH BAROQUE POLYCHROMED WOOD ALMS DESK

With canted hinged top decorated with a pastoral scene of figures within a rustic landscape, the reverse of the top painted with a saint and various figures including a mother and child and soldiers on horseback, the interior fitted with numerous open compartments- perhaps for alms, the frieze opens as a fall front, the back fitted with three short similarly decorated drawers, the sides with iron carrying handles, above baluster turned legs joined by shaped crossed stretchers on ball feet, redecorated
