Of the Preface to the Nigger of the "Narcissus" One Hundred Copies were printed in 1902, but about forty of these were accidentally destroyed. Messrs J. Lovick & Sons have been good enough to examine their books in order to furnish this information. The pamphlet was printed for Mr. Conrad himself, in order that he might distribute it among his circle of friends'. And 2 other pamphlets by Conrad.
