MIXING FOR CHARITY
A wide range of Single Malt & Blended Whisky, Bourbon, Spirits & Liqueurs together with mixed lots of New World Wines
The following lots 1 to 21 are being sold in aid of four charities: 'Spinal Research', 'Bosom Buddies', 'Second Chance' and 'The Wine and Spirit Trades' Benevolent Society'.
Spinal Research is a pioneering charity which aims to reverse the paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. Based in the UK and recognised as a leader in its field, it funds projects at institutions around the world.
Bosom Buddies offers support to sufferers and survivors of breast cancer being treated in the Surrey area. The focus for raising funds in 2006 will be to purchase new laser equipment at The Royal Surrey Hospital.
Second Chance, founded in 1984 as 'the Foster Angler charity', originally took children from deprived backgrounds camping and fishing. Now an established independent organisation with many resources it seeks to use fishing as the medium of establishing lines of communication between youngsters and to give them a sense of achievement, confidence and social understanding.
The Wine and Spirit Trades' Benevolent Society, 'The Benevolent' to give it its familiar title, was founded in 1886 to help present and former members of the Wine and Spirit trades at their time of need.
