The surname of the maker, but not his first name, has been removed from the woodblock on the ace and 2 of coins before printing, yet his initials I. G. (for J. G.) remain on the 4 of coins suggesting the pack was issued by Galler's successor. Trumps are full-length figures, Roman numerals, featuring unusual characters including the Spanish Captain, Le' Spagnol Capitano Eracasse for trump II and Bacus (sic) for trump V, Le Fol is numbered XXII. Courts are full-length figures, Italian suits, French card titles, no indices, square corners, 2 of cups contains a tablet explaining that the lowest value cards in the suits of coins and cups carry the highest values when played in the game of tarot.
