Designed by A. Orell.  Considered the leading example of chromolithographic art in connection with Art Nouveau design on playing cards.  Trumps are double-ended scenes, Roman numerals, featuring named vessels and ports of call of the Austrian-Lloyd Steamship Line in Europe, Middle East and Asia, courts are double-ended and illustrate figures in colorful costume from different countries (spades represent North Africa and Spain, hearts are Persia, clubs are Japan, and diamonds are Assyria), French suits, no indices, round gilt corners.
