Paper-covered wooden game compendium, France, 20th century.

11.75 x 17.5 x 2.5 in. (300 x 440 x 70 mm). Wooden box covered in blue paper with "Jeux Réunis" gilt-lettered on the top lid surrounded by gilt fleur-de-lis pattern, metal clasps and hinges (box tape-reinforced along bottom edge). The interior is divided into 11 compartments that house games pieces, some of which are contained in separate decorated paper board boxes, for loto, dominoes, 'Le Bonnet Phrygen', 'L'embark du charcutier', 'La puce', and 'Jeu du ramoneur'. Two decorated paper game boards for 'Jeu du nain-jaune', 'Jeu del'oie' and checkers are also included.
