The cards show actors and actresses from the Berlin Theater, circa 1879-1900, wearing stage costumes and standing before painted set decorations. The title card reads: "Spielkarten in Bromsilber -- Photographie, Verlag der Nagen Photographishen Geselsch A.G., Berlin-Steglitz," and a medallion held by a young woman on the title card reads: "Gestzlich Geschutzt NPG." The ace of hearts is marked with a monarchic tax stamp from Milan dated October 20. 1905. RARE.
