These rare small white-glazed dishes are copying the Ding wares of the Song dynasty. A similar slightly smaller dish with the same design and from the same period, in the Percival David Foundation, London (no.464), is illustrated in Regina Krahl, Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, Vol.2, London 1994, pl.790 ; compare also with a similar dish from the Qianlong period from the E.T.
