A CHARLES I SILVER-GILT WEST COUNTRY SEAL-TOP SPOON,
TAUNTON, CIRCA 1640,
Struck thrice to back of stem & once in bowl with pelleted cross mark, the top of seal prick-dot engraved "WC" over "1642" over "WH" with curlicue below, 6¾ in. long (17.2 cm.), 1.5 oz.

From the collection of Sir Robert Barlow (1891-1972) and thence by descent.
