AN IMPORTANT ANTIQUE PEARL PENDANT
The drop-shaped pearl of 127.12 grains (31.78 carats) to the old-cut diamond set foliate cap, 19th Century
Accompanied by report No.980475 dated 24 April 2006 from the Precious Stone Laboratory, London, stating that the pearl was found to be natural
This pearl is a rarity due to its well formed drop shape, its weight and its fine skin. Not many gem quality pearls of more than 120 grains are recorded as shown in this list of historic and important pearls.
