The pagoda hood with pierced brass frets to front and side, brass stop fluted pillars, conforming pilasters flanking trunk door with moulded frame, with moulded panel to plinth raised on wavy skirting, the 12 inch (30 cm.) dial with foliate scroll spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre with subsidiary discs for seconds and date, strike/silent ring in the arch and signed above SPENCER & PERKINS LONDON, the five pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell; two brass weights; pendulum; key
