The case with displayed eagle cresting flanked by flambeau finials, with platform supported by winged caryatids supporting Corinthian capitals, on rectangular stepped plinth with relief cast chariot mount and raised on eagle and ball front feet, with drapery apron below the dial with white enamel Roman chapter ring, engine-turned gilt centre, blued steel moon hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with rectangular plates, strike on bell, stamped on the back plate for VINCENTI and numbered 2247; Apollo mask gridiron pendulum, key
