A fine Steiff teddy bear
with golden mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed elongated limbs with felt pads, hump, growler, FF button in ear and wearing brass studded leather dog collar, circa 1909 --20¼in. (51.5cm.) high (1½in. (3cm.) x 2in. (5cm.) bald patch on left toe, left foot recovered, top of left arm seam open and slightly faded)

Provenance
This bear belonged to the vendor's Auntie Clarice (married name Rogers), born circa 1896, her childhood was spent in North West London and her retirement was spent in Torquay.
