355 x 550 mm. 15th century blind tooled Italian goatskin, spine transected by three leather bands with stitching in the manner of ledger bindings; each cover with applied teardrop-shaped gilt coats-of-arms, front cover with gilt-panel applied enclosing a gouache courtly drawing, an applied plaque of differing shape with a gouache showing two angels on the back (a bit worn). Provenance: purchased from Emil Offenbacher, 1 August 1955.
