A JEWELLED BINDING SET WITH 40 JEWELS, INCLUDING 8 AGATES AND 16 GARNETS AND 16 SMALL BLUE STONES by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, green morocco, front cover with sunken panel of blue levant morocco with elaborate gilt decoration, initials "H.L.W." and dates "1807" and "1882" in gold on a pointillé background, with sprays of forget-me-nots woven through the monogram and covering the entire panel, the front outer border emblematically tooled with horse, teepee, dear and leaf tools, and at each corner an agate and four garnets set on a pointillé ground, the back cover with central sunken panel of green morocco with an inlaid fish pierced by a spear at it swims through seaweed, under banner reading "Hiawatha's Fishing," the outer border emblematically tooled with beaver, fish and leaf tools and with corners repeating the design of the front with a set agate and 4 small blue stones, spine in six compartments with five raised bands, gilt-lettered in two, decorated in the remaining, doublures and recto of endleaves of snakeskin, endleaves of brown watered silk, IN VERY FINE CONDITION; silk and plush-lined morocco case (front cover of case detached).
