Of typical form, the front doors hinged to reveal a fitted interior with drawers and pigeon holes, including forty canvas lined filing drawers, one centre drawer bearing the pencil inscription 'Rue Jackson Desk Trimmer Richmond State of Indiana USA January 4 1888', originally with a gallery now missing, the front door handle missing and the back plate part missing
