The swan neck hood with brass ball and eagle finials, blind fret panelling and outset reeded columns on brickwork blocks, on bracket feet, the 14 in. wide cut-away brass dial with foliate scroll spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, hatch engraved centre with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, cut steel hands, signed on two silvered banner plaques above BARKER/WIGAN, with painted rolling moon, the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell; built up cheekboards; pendulum, two lead weights
