A FRENCH HUNTING SWORD OF EXHIBITION TYPE; A SMALL-SWORD WITH IRON HILT DAMASCENED IN GOLD; ANOTHER, THE HILT INLAID IN BRASS; A RAPIER IN 17TH CENTURY STYLE; TWO FOILS; AND A COMPOSITE BROADSWORD
THE FIRST MID-19TH CENTURY; THE FOLLOWING TWO MID-18TH CENTURY; THE REMAINDER 19TH CENTURY
The first with silver-plated hilt cast in the form of an 18th Century huntsman killing a fox, in its original scabbard with later fabric cover; the second with slender blade, small iron hilt decorated over its principal surfaces with a series of figural subjects from mythology; the third with slender blade etched over its length with a series of named saints on both sides and the hilt encrusted with panels of scrollwork incorporating figures in mid-18th Century dress
