The moulded gilt-brass dial frame with foliate and swag volutes and cartouche to the top, the dial formed of two pieces of glass signed Rottier Fabt. 161 Palais Royal Paris and with pierced metal alloy hands set in the centre with tiny miniaturized wheelwork receiving impulse from the 'rotating' rear glass, the movement with small rectangular plates, twin spring barrels and strike on a gong, anchor escapement, the backplate with stamp for Japy Freres
