THREE IRON TSUBA AND ONE SENTOKU TSUBA
Edo Period (19th Century)
An irregular hachimokkogata iron tsuba inlaid in shibuichi and gilt takazogan with the rain dragon amid clouds, with signature Rinsendo Mitsumasa and Kao; a broad oval iron tsuba chiselled in katakiribori with a dragon above waves, signed Saito Tomochika Akabagawa no tsuchibori kore; an oval sentoku plate carved and inlaid in gilt takazogan with a sansui [mountain and water] landscape, on the reverse is a sunset scene inlaid in gilt nunome zogan, with signature Toshinaga; and an oval iron tsuba, a tapering plate with a goose inlaid in shibuichi takazogan, gilt details, signed Kikuoka Mitsunori and Kao
