the spectacles with round lenses and short tapered sides grooved on the inside for grip; a pair of late 19th-Century tortoiseshell spectacles with blue tinted lenses, K-brides and turn-pin sides in an attractive tortoiseshell flip-top case with silver plaque engraved Presented by the Member of the Robert Burns Society to MR W. M PENMAN in appreciation of his arduous & efficient services as Secretary to the Society for upwards of 14 Years Feb. 11th 1871; a 19th-Century pair of horn spectacles with pierced terminals to the sides in a black-lacquered case with mother-of-pearl decoration; and an early 20th-Century pair of faux-tortoiseshell folding spectacles in an oval case (4)
