A French brass and enamel-mounted compendium carriage timepiece with barometer, thermometer and compass, circa 1890
The pillars case with enamel panels to all sides at top and bottom, decorated with gilt foliate designs against a royal blue background, with conforming masks to the dials, silvered Roman chapter ring and conforming aneroid barometer ring, with central mercury fahrenheit thermometer and with compass to the top, the eight day single barrel movement with silvered platform to bimetallic balance with lever escapement -- 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) wide; key, original brown leather front-opening travel case
