A SMALL LATE 18TH CENTURY OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE TEA URN,
CIRCA 1795,
Of vase shape with stiff leaf chasing to the lower body & to the domed cover, with lion mask drop ring handles, half-fluted spherical finial, the upper body decorated with a band of vitruvian scrolls and rosettes between two reeded bands, the front engraved with a lion rampant crest, the trumpet foot upon a square pedestal base raised on 4 fluted bracket supports terminating in ball feet, 12½ in. high (32 cm.)
