A RARE GEORGE III SILVER HOUR-GLASS,
UNMARKED, CIRCA 1790,
Of conventional form, the glass held within a cage formed by six baluster spindles terminating at each end in six small feet, (one foot now absent), engraved at either end with a lion rampant crest within a disc-shaped reserve, the flat circular top & base with reeded borders, 3½ in. high (9 cm.).
