The hood with moulded pediment and figural finials, glazed sidepanels flanked by brass capped columns to side and front, arched moulded trunk door with eagle-and-vase lenticle, bombé plinth on ball-and-claw feet, the dial with engraved border, foliate spandrels to arcaded and silvered chapterring, matted and engraved centre with subsidiary seconds ring centred by date aperture and flanked by signature plaque inscribed Lucas Dijl/Amsterdam, ringed winding holes with day of week sector below, the engraved arch with rolling moon, the eight day four pillar movement with anchor escapement and Dutch rack strike on two bells, trip repeat; dial and movement probably associated to case; pendulum; two weights
