A dense wine in the glass, with an almost opaque core and viscous legs. The nose is alive with star anise, rose petals and bergamot. Earthy tones lie beneath, On a palate the weight of this great vintage, dried fruits and sweetness. Finishes long and dry - a perfect bottle for now. February 2003. RB
