A RARE PAIR OF IMPERIAL WHITE JADE, CLOISONNE ENAMEL AND GILT-BRONZE HAT STANDS
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
Each composed of a central pale greenish-white jade cylinder pierced and carved with bats in flight amidst wan diaper, between gilt-bronze mounts cast with bands of petal lappets, repeated on the base between a jade plaque carved with a band of angular scrolls and the cloisonné apron decorated with stylized masks, the hollow cloisonné enamel cushion-form top decorated on the underside with foliate scroll and on top with detached angular scrolls surrounding the central aperture fitted with a pierced cover cast with clouds surrounding a shou medallion
