Lot Essay

Compare two other small bronze horses of similar type but slightly larger size in the Nelson-Atkins Museum, Kansas City illustrated in the Handbook, 1959, p. 174 (top); and another from the collection of A. Hellstrom, Sweden, included in the International Exhibition of Chinese Art, Royal Academy of Arts, London, 1935-6, Catalogue, no. 129.
