A LARGE LONGQUAN CELADON CARVED BRACKET-LOBED DISH
MING DYNASTY, 15TH CENTURY
Heavily potted, the interior carved in the center with a lotus spray within a narrow foliate diaper border and lotus meander in the fluted well, all below a rope-like band on the everted bracket-lobed rim, with further lotus meander on the exterior, covered overall with a glaze of olive-green tone except for an unglazed ring on the base which has burnt orange in the firing
18¼ in. (46.5 cm.) diam.
